JSON Formatter
Validate, format and minify JSON in your browser.
● Runs locally in your browser. No file or text uploads.
Inspect a response
The input {"name":"Ada","items":[1,2]} is valid JSON. Formatting adds indentation; minifying removes optional whitespace while preserving the parsed structure.
Find a common syntax error
{"name":"Ada",} is invalid because of the trailing comma. Remove the comma to obtain {"name":"Ada"}, then format it. Successful formatting checks JSON syntax; it does not prove that a service accepts those fields or values.
When to use it
Use this for API payloads and configuration snippets. It validates JSON syntax, not whether a payload meets an application schema.
