How to convert WebP to JPG in your browser

· Replikhurt Tools

If an app or upload form does not accept WebP, exporting a JPG copy can help. Conversion changes the file format; simply renaming the extension does not convert the image.

Open the converter and choose a file

Open the WebP to JPG tool and select your image. The tool performs the conversion in your browser. Keep the original file so you can return to it later.

Choose a background for transparent areas

JPG cannot store transparency. Choose a background color that matches the destination, then inspect the edges around logos or cut-out objects. If transparency must be preserved, use a format such as PNG instead.

Balance quality and file size

JPEG uses lossy compression. Higher quality generally produces a larger file, but converting a compressed source cannot recreate detail already lost. Compare the result with the original and avoid repeated conversions.

Download and check the copy

Download the JPG and open it in the application where you intend to use it. Check orientation, dimensions and background. For several files, use the Batch Image Converter; for an AVIF source, use AVIF to JPG.
